Cost of living

Where to live
The Zona Hotelera is the seaside tourist zone and is expensive. For everyday life, people choose residential areas: Puerto Cancun (upscale), the 500 Regions (affordable) and nearby suburbs. These are cheaper with more local infrastructure.
Work and transport
Plenty of work in tourism, hospitality and international companies. Cancun airport is the largest in the southeast, with direct flights to the US, Europe and beyond. The Maya Train connects the city with Playa, Tulum and Merida.
