Since January 2017, citizens of Mexico (and 73 other countries) do not need a visa to visit Belarus.
Basic criteria for visa-free visits to Belarus
- visa-free entry is possible only through Minsk National Airport;
- Visa-free entry is not possible when entering through a land border, when arriving from airports in the Russian Federation, and in addition when the final destination is considered to be airports in the Russian Federation. In these cases, you must have a Belarus visa;
- exit from Belarus is possible only through the entry point — Minsk National Airport;
- the period of visa-free stay is no more than 30 days and cannot be extended while staying in Belarus;
- the period of visa-free stay is renewed for the next 30 days upon departure and re-entry;
- The period of visa-free stay is calculated in whole calendar days: the first day — date of arrival, last day — date of departure;
- you will need to register with the registration authority at the place of your actual temporary stay or on the websiteportal.gov.by(«Administrative process for registration of foreign citizens») for 5 days after entry, excluding Sundays, public holidays and public holidays. When staying in hotels, hostels, sanatoriums, etc., registration is carried out by default upon check-in.
When passing border control you must have
- a valid international passport, the validity of which exceeds the date of intended departure from the Republic of Belarus by at least 90 days;
- money: an amount in foreign currency or Belarusian rubles equivalent to 2 basic units (from January 1, 2019 — 51 BYN / $24) for each day of stay, or 50 basic units (1,275 BYN / $604) if the stay is 30 days;
- medical insurance in the amount of at least €10,000, valid in Belarus for the entire duration of stay.
