In this publication we will talk about visas that are suitable for entry into Mexico. It is about visas that are glued into the passport, and not about electronic permission or other grounds for visa-free entry into Mexico. To obtain such a visa, you need to contact the diplomatic mission of a specific country. If you have such a visa, you do not need a Mexico visa.

This is the complete list. Visas from any other country do not allow entry into Mexico. French and Dutch overseas territory visas, and in addition similar visas of other countries from the list above, do not allow entry into Mexico.
2.Visa frequencymust be multi — MULTIPLE. The number of entries means the number of entries allowed and is always indicated on the visa (No. of Entries or similar in the national language). In other words, the visa must allow multiple entries into the country that issued it. Not 1 or 2 entrances, but multi. You can also enter Mexico with the same visa an unlimited number of times within its validity period.
On the Internet you can read stories about someone being allowed into Mexico on a single-entry visa. Don't be fooled by such stories. The Mexican border guard might have missed it. They were allowed in, but they won’t let you in.
3. Each state has its own markingvisa type, according to the purpose of its design. Most types of visas are suitable for entry into Mexico, except for transit and humanitarian ones. For example, for Schengen visas, visa types C and D are suitable, but A and B are not suitable. National visas of EU countries that do not indicate type D, in other words, LTV visas, are not suitable for entry into Mexico. Among UK visas, all Tier visas are suitable, but the UK visa is not suitable.
Apart from transit and humanitarian visas, for Mexico it does not matter for what purpose the visa was obtained. The purpose of obtaining a visa can be any: tourist, for work, for study, for business, to visit relatives, for family reunification, etc.
4. It is not necessary before entering Mexico.visit the countrywho issued the visa. That is, your visa has the right to be completely new, just received specifically for a trip to Mexico, and not “printed out.”
5.Validity periodVisa doesn't matter. The visa can be for 10 days or 10 years. You are required to enter Mexico before the expiration date of your visa.
We do not link the validity of a visa with a possible refusal of entry. But for an officer at the entrance to Mexico, it may look strange that you were given a visa for 10 days, and instead of the state that issued you the visa, you came to Mexico.
When you enter Mexico, you will receive an authorized period of stay that is independent of the validity of your visa. The maximum permitted period of stay in Mexico as a guest of a power — 180 days, but has the right to give even less.
6. You are able to arrive in Mexico by anyonemode of transport: by plane, by sea on your own yacht or across a land border.
7. You have the right to apply for entry in anycheckpoint: at the airport, at the port, at a car or pedestrian border crossing.
8. No visadoes not guaranteeentry into Mexico. Even a Mexico visa. The decision whether to allow you into the country or not is made by the migration officer based on an assessment of the purpose of your visit. He may ask for a return ticket, accommodation reservation and proof of financial viability for the duration of his stay in Mexico. Your citizenship may be decisive. Citizens of some countries have the right to be denied entry into Mexico even if they have a visa and all confirmations.
Visa requirements for certain countries (USA, Canada, UK, Japan and Schengen visas) to enter Mexico are described in self-published publications on our website. Use the search.
In addition, we would like to remind you that for citizens of Ukraine, Russia and Turkey, entry into Mexico by plane is possible with a free electronic permit, which replaces a visa. In addition, you do not need a visa to enter Mexico if you have permanent residence in one of the countries listed above, Chile or Peru.
