Georgian citizens require a visa to visit Mexico. There is no Mexican embassy in Georgia, and Mexican interests in Georgia are represented by the embassy in Turkey. Accordingly, to obtain a visa to Mexico, Georgians need to go to Turkey. Mexican consulates in Russia, Ukraine and other countries are able to issue a visa only if you have a residence permit in these countries or a work visa if with Russia.
In Turkey, a Mexico visa can be obtained in two places: the embassy in Ankara and the Consulate General in Istanbul. The procedure for obtaining a visa is the same in both countries; it is described by us in thispublications. In short, you need to fill out a visa application form, make a certificate from your place of work and a bank account statement, make an appointment at the consular department and arrive on the appointed day to submit documents. After some time, you need to come back to the diplomatic mission and get a passport with a visa. It is possible to take up to 10 days between applying and receiving a visa, although a visa is usually issued faster.
To avoid traveling to Turkey twice, Georgian citizens should contact the Honorary Consulate of Mexico in Tbilisi. The Honorary Diplomatic Mission does not issue visas, but is able to provide assistance in transferring documentation to Turkish diplomatic missions in Turkey. Copies of the documents you bring to the Honorary Consulate in Tbilisi will be checked, digitized and then forwarded to Turkey. In addition, the Honorary Consulate can arrange a date for issuing a visa in Ankara or Istanbul. Consequently, you will only have to travel to Turkey once to submit original documents, pay the visa fee, submit your fingerprints and purchase a previously approved visa on the same day.
The Embassy and Consular Section in Turkey do not work with travel agencies or courier services. You can only submit documentation and prepare a visa in person. It is also impossible to obtain a visa by proxy.

Let us add that to enter Mexico, in addition to this, a visa from the USA, Canada, Schengen countries, Great Britain or Japan is suitable, as well as permanent resident status in the USA, Canada, EU powers and some other powers. If you have one of these documents, you do not need a visa to Mexico.
Despite the visa-free regime between Georgia and the European Union, a Georgian passport alone is not enough to enter Mexico.
According to Mexican migration statistics, 589 Georgian citizens visited the country in 2018, and in 2019 — already 1002, and in 2020 there was a decrease in the number of Georgian tourists to 327 people due to the coronavirus pandemic.
