At Cancun International Airport, free Wi-Fi is available in all terminals and all areas except international arrivals and passport control. The service is being launched by Prodigy Mobile.
To connect to free Wi-Fi at Cancun Airport, follow these steps.
1. Activate Wi-Fi on your phone.
2. Open Wi-Fi settings.
3. Select access point (SSID)«CUN Wi-Fi»or «CUN free Wi-Fi».
4. Once connected, open your device's browser. You will be automatically redirected to the Wi-Fi host web page.
5. Create an account to connect using your email.
6. Start using the Internet.
When the host web page appears, skip the requests for a paid subscription. When a sponsored ad appears on the login screen, click «Under 18». This will allow you to skip the required video ads and start your free session immediately.
Please note that Cancun Airport only provides 60 minutes of free Wi-Fi use. But during periods of peak terminal load, the system often limits the connection speed for users to 30-minute blocks. If you want to apply this time in parts, each time you finish using the Internet, log out of your CUN Wi-Fi host account or turn off Wi-Fi on your phone.
Once the validity period expires without paying for use, the network disconnects you and redirects you to the authorization portal. This portal imposes a paid update option — you must pay to continue using the service. But you don’t have to pay, you just need to re-authenticate with a different email.
Free Wi-Fi at Cancun Airport does not guarantee its reliability. When several flights land at the same time and a thousand travelers instantly try to connect to the network right next to the baggage carousel, the network begins to work intermittently. The signal is especially weak near the terminal's sliding glass doors and passenger boarding/disembarkation areas — exactly where it is most needed. So, change your location and move around the terminal to catch a strong signal.
Wi-Fi from other providers is also available in Terminal 4 in some domestic flight lounges without paying a fee. All kinds of cafes located on the territory of the airport can distribute their free Wi-Fi to visitors — You are allowed to connect to it by staying next to such an establishment.
All Mera VIP boxes and business class lounges in Terminals 2, 3 and 4 also have Wi-Fi, which is included in the price of service.
