Health form when flying through Amsterdam – Travel Updates

Currently, when transiting through Dutch airports, you must fill out a health form or even two forms. By transit we mean the following:

  • you are flying through the Netherlands from a non-EU country to a non-EU country,
  • are in the transit area of a Dutch airport for less than 48 hours (depending on the airline),
  • do not leave the transit zone.

Health form

This must be completed by all passengers aged 13 years and older. The form must be presented upon boarding any flight to the Netherlands.

If you fly with KLM, TUI, Transavia, easyJet and others, you can complete the form electronically when you check-in online or at the airline check-in counter at the airport.

In addition, you have the opportunity to fill out the form yourself. You need to download the file (linkno longer available for download). This is an editable PDF file that can be filled out directly on your computer or phone, printed, or saved to your phone. The paper health form is required in two copies: one will be collected from you by the airline, and the second may be required upon arrival. If you saved the file to your phone, just show the health form from the screen.

Declaration of quarantine

This declaration must be completed if you arrive at a Dutch airport from one of the "high risk" countries, even if you are transiting through the Netherlands. The list of such countries can be found atlink. Currently, more than 25 countries are included in this list. There is no Mexico or Russia, but there is Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia and others.

The declaration can be completed online on this page (link no longer available). When filling out the declaration, indicate that you fall under one of the exceptions (transit). After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation that you need to save to your phone or print. Confirmation must be shown to the airline upon check-in for your flight to the Netherlands.

During transit, you do not have to undergo quarantine upon arrival in the Netherlands, but you will have to fill out a quarantine declaration.

About tests

For transits through Dutch airports not exceeding 24 hours,no needpresent a vaccination certificate or coronavirus test. However, if you are flying from a high-risk country and your connection is determined by the airline to be more than 24 hours but less than 48 hours, a vaccination certificate or test is considered mandatory.
