Llave MX — is a digital authentication platform launched by the Mexican government that serves as a single login to access various government online services. This is similar to systems like GOV.UK One Login in the UK or ID.me in the US. Llave MX allows you to log into multiple Mexican government websites with one account, receive government services online, manage your personal data and documents, and sign digital documents.
The Mexican government announces its intention to make Llave MX a single digital key for all services at the federal and subsequently — regional levels. In the future, integration with the electronic signature e.firma of the tax service and with the portal of the Mexican migration service is expected.
Currently, Llave MX is integrated with the following government services:
- SAT (Tax Service) — making an appointment, registering in the RFC taxpayer register,
- IMSS (social medicine) — verification of rights to medical care,
- SRE (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) — scheduling visits to obtain a passport,
- SEP (Ministry of Education) — viewing education records,
- RENAPO (population register) — updating the CURP identification code and other data,
- Registro Civil (Civil Registry) — registration of copies of birth certificates, making corrections.
In other words, to enter the sites of these government services, you can (or sometimes are required) to use Llave MX.
Llave MX additionally opens up the way to store personal papers (CURP, birth certificate, passport, etc.) as digital papers for use when requesting government procedures.

When you enter the website of any government service, your data is already pulled from Llave MX (CURP, name, etc.).

Enter information about your place of residence in Mexico: zip code, state and all other information. Click on the «Next» button.
Enter your contact information (email address or mobile phone number) and click «Next». These data will have to be confirmed.
Create a password for your account. The password must be 8 characters long, including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number. You cannot forget your password, although you can recover it. Please read the privacy notice and check the «I am not a robot» box again. Click «Done» (Finalizar).
