For 18 years, Superación Ciudadana Quintanarroense (Suciqroo), a civil health association, has been providing specialized medical advice at low cost. Among the specialties they engage in are — oncology, general surgery, traumatology, nephrology, psychiatry, psychology, dermatology, otorhinolaryngology and others. About 450 people a week are treated at Suciqroo. The price of an appointment with any specialist does not exceed 380 pesos (2023), while in private clinics such as PlayaMed or Galenia, the cost of a medical consultation ranges from 800 to 1,500 pesos. Since Suciqroo, as a social project, has been supported by the state government for many years, it hosts a number of consultants who work in parallel in prestigious hospitals in Cancun, so the quality of medical care is at the highest level. They accept 24 — 30 doctors of different specialties.
