The IMSS Bienestar program announced the launch of an electronic platform for making appointments at public health centers in Mexico. In the first phase, the electronic recording system will operate in 155 health facilities in 11 municipalities of the State of Mexico and will eventually be expanded throughout the country.

IMSS Bienestar (not to be confused with just IMSS) — is a public health care system in Mexico designed for people without social insurance. It is available to both Mexican citizens and foreigners. Until 2023, the system was called INSABI, and even earlier — Seguro Popular (public insurance). Most often, these are Hospital General hospitals in Mexican cities.
Medical support is provided free of charge. Patients have the opportunity to go to public clinics and hospitals of the system without paying for consultations, basic diagnostics, hospitalization, including childbirth, and receive key medications free of charge.
For patients, this means access to primary care. In medical institutions of the system, it is possible to arrange consultations with therapists and some consultants, undergo basic tests, vaccinations, treatment of chronic diseases and, if necessary, hospitalization. The range of high-tech care and specialized procedures is usually limited, since the system is focused primarily on basic and primary health care.
