PRODUCTS OF ANIMAL ORIGIN NOT ELSEWHERE NAMED OR INCLUDED
Note:
1. This group does not include:
a) food products (except for the intestines, bladders and stomachs of animals, whole and in pieces, and in addition to animal blood, liquid or dry);
b) hides or skins (including fur), other than goods of heading 0505, and in addition trims and similar waste of raw hides of heading 05.11 (Chapter 41 or 43);
c) textile materials of animal origin, except horsehair and its waste (section XI); or
d) knots or bundles prepared for the manufacture of brooms or brushes (heading 96.03).
2. For heading 05.01, hair sorted by length is considered unprocessed (provided that the bases and ends of the hair are not arranged in the appropriate order).
3. Throughout the Nomenclature, the term «ivory» means the tusks or fangs of the elephant, hippopotamus, walrus, narwhal and wild boar, the horn of the rhinoceros and the teeth of all animals.
4. Throughout the Nomenclature, the term «horsehair» means the hair of the mane or tail of horses or cattle. Item 05.11 covers, inter alia, horsehair waste and tow.
