You have received your Mexican Resident Card. In order to fully utilize your options as a resident, you now need to obtain an RFC tax number. Then you have the right to open an account in a Mexican bank, buy a car or scooter in a dealership or from a company, officially sell real estate or a car, and much more. If you are going to do business in Mexico or take up a job, obtaining an RFC tax number becomes mandatory for you.
Non-residents can only obtain an RFC tax number by visiting one of the SAT offices in Mexico. To get there, you need to pre-register online. RFCs are issued on the day of the visit, but the wait for this day can last for several weeks, depending on the selected office.
Don't want to deal with obtaining RFCs yourself? Entrust this task to us!
We offer assistance in obtaining a Mexican RFC tax number for residents of the country. Send us a photo of your resident card, and in less than a month, and more often — even earlier, you will have not only your RFC number, but also confirmation of the tax regime (Constancia de Situación Fiscal — various organizations will request this, and not just an RFC number), as well as data for accessing your personal account on the SAT portal. We usually open the mode Personas físicas sin obligaciones fiscales or Régimen de Sueldos y Salarios.
Our assistance in obtaining an RFC will save you from communicating with officials at SAT offices, especially if you do not know Spanish and feel insecure in a foreign country. In addition, we are ready to offer options for purchasing RFCs in an accelerated manner.
Unfortunately, we are unable to obtain an electronic signature key (e.firma) for you as this requires you to visit the SAT office in person, have your fingerprints taken, or have your cornea scan taken. But if you have already taken the SAT and are having difficulty obtaining an electronic signature, we are ready to help resolve this issue.
Please note: Once you purchase an RFC Tax Number, you do not have any tax obligations and are not required to file any tax returns until you actually begin conducting business that requires paying taxes.
