You— citizen or resident of Mexico. In addition, you have a passport from one of the CIS countries. You have relatives left in this country, and you want them to move to Mexico too. But your relatives cannot just come to Mexico. They need a visa or they may not be allowed in because of their citizenship. But you have already established a foothold in Mexico, which means your relatives are also capable of moving here.
Start by visiting the immigration office in Mexico at your place of residence. The Migration Service will pre-authorize your relative's future visa. Then your relative has the opportunity to contact the Mexican consulate in his country and apply for a visa without refusal. And not a simple visa, but a resident visa, which guarantees entry into the country and obtaining a residence permit. Having arrived in Mexico, the relative will immediately receive a resident card based on the visa, and your task will be completed.
Authorization means that the migration service has approved the issuance of a visa. The document will contain a unique number, with the assistance of which you need to sign up for a visa at the consulate. The consulate has the opportunity to be any, and not just according to the country of citizenship of the relative. For example, citizens of Uzbekistan will be able to obtain a resident visa in Moscow, while for a tourist visa they would have to go to Tehran.
A resident visa provides hassle-free entry into Mexico. You do not need to have a return ticket or hotel reservation. At passport control you will no longer be assessed as a tourist with possible immigration intentions, but as a legal resident of Mexico.
Already in Mexico, a visa must be exchanged for a resident card without any conditions or confirmation. If you — A citizen or permanent resident of Mexico, your relative (other than your spouse) will receive a permanent resident card. If you are a temporary resident, a relative will also be given a temporary resident card. A temporary resident card will be issued for a period not exceeding the validity period of your card. After 4 years it will be possible to obtain permanent residence, and after another year — apply for citizenship while maintaining your current CIS citizenship.
The spouse, minor children and parents of a citizen or resident of Mexico, as well as the children of the spouse and his parents, can take advantage of the chance to become a resident of Mexico. Unfortunately, this scheme for obtaining a residence permit in Mexico cannot be applied to adult children and siblings.
