Before the Season (May)
- Inspect roof membrane — repair any damage
- Clear all roof drains and gutters
- Test all storm shutters/impact windows
- Service generator and stock fuel
- Trim trees within 3m of building
- Review and update insurance
- Document all property contents (video)
When a Storm Threatens
- Close all shutters and secure doors
- Bring ALL outdoor furniture inside
- Fill cistern and bathtubs with water
- Stock 5 days of water and food
- Charge all devices and power banks
- Withdraw cash (ATMs may go offline)
- Know your evacuation route
