Xcaret Theme Park — one of the most famous and visited parks in Mexico, which combines the natural wealth of the Caribbean coast and entertainment attractions. How much does it cost to enter Xcaret?
Price may change based on where and when you purchase your entry ticket. The basic package is almost 2,300 MXN (about $120, 2020 price), from which various options are added to it. Discounts depend on the season and time of purchase of tickets. When purchasing 7 days in advance — 10% discount from regular price, for 21 days or more — 15%. There will be discounts if you buy tickets to several parks or tours at once, or take an entrance ticket for several days. Significant discounts are possible only for residents of the state of Quintana Roo; sometimes the price of entrance tickets for them is only 50% of the usual price. There are almost never any promotions or special offers for foreigners.
However, the final cost will still be higher than the base one. Add transportation (Xcaret offers transfer to Cancún for 600 MXN round trip), food and drinks, and use of locker rooms. You have the opportunity to immediately choose the maximum package Xcaret Plus, which will cost almost 4,500 MXN ($230) and includes all the possible attractions that the park offers.

Sights of Xcaret Park
The park has more than 50 attractions, entertainment and interesting places to visit. The main ones:
- Walk along Rio del Paraiso. This is the perfect place to explore the Xcaret rivers without getting wet. The excursion takes place by boat.
- There are three underground rivers in the park, through which you will have to swim.
- Coral reef. It is of natural origin. Here from personal snorkeling.
- Natural pools and springs, from a private beach.
- Butterfly farm. There are a lot of them here. It is better to come here as early as possible, because butterflies go to bed early.
- Mexican Cemetery. This is an authentic pantheon located on several levels. The graves are real and very old.
- An improvised Mayan village.
- Picturesque tower and chapel.

It is forbidden to enter Xcaret Park with your own food. Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed, and you can fill your own containers in the park.
The park has 4 restaurants, 3 bars and places selling various snacks.
When visiting the park, comfortable and non-slip shoes are important. You will be walking a lot, and often in damp places. Shoes for water activities will be an ideal choice. It will be more comfortable than flip-flops and much safer. Also, don't forget your walking shoes — They will be more convenient for walking.
In addition, you will need a bathing suit. In addition, it is better to take your own, since the park does not provide them.
Biodegradable sunscreen — This is the only product permitted for use in the park. You will also need sunglasses and a hat or cap to protect yourself from the sun.
Take your camera and camera case to protect it from water, even if you decide to order photography in the park.

Xcaret Park in one day
In one day you will not be able to cover all the opportunities that Xcaret Park offers its guests. But at least you will see the most important things and visit the most interesting places. Get to the park early and stay until closing. There are signs everywhere in the park, so you don't get lost.
8:30. When you arrive at the park in the morning, do not linger at the entrance. Usually in the morning there are many people here who want to have their photo taken against the background of the letters XCARET. You have the right to do this later. Don't waste time in souvenir shops — in the evening they will also be closed, and there will be fewer people.
Go straight to the locker rooms, leave your things in the locker and change for swimming. Take your camera in a case and sunscreen.
9:30. Choose one of 3 rivers for your first voyage. The journey along the river will take you about 1 hour.
11:00. At the end of the river, a beach area awaits you. It's not so hot, and this is a good time to go snorkeling and watch the aquatic life in one of the bays, swim in the natural pools or just take a breather and sunbathe on the beach. Enjoy your breath and get ready for lunch.
13:00. Dinner. The buffet at Xcaret Park is famous for its variety, so you can refresh yourself before continuing through the park. You don’t have to limit yourself, but remember that with a full stomach you will be more likely to feel sleepy than to take on new adventures.
14:30. It's time to go back to the locker room to change into regular clothes and spend the afternoon active. The path from the beach to the lockers will take you through small archaeological zones, nature reserves and much more that the park is rich in. Just enjoy the road, come in and look at everything.
15:30. Set sail on boats along the Rio del Paraiso. This is the only river in the park that does not require a swimsuit.
16:00. After going down the river, follow the Mayan route. Here you will find a real Mexican cemetery and a butterfly farm. Then is to visit the aquarium. Don’t linger anywhere because you might not make it in time for the start of the México Espectacular show.
18:00. Before entering the show, be sure to stop by the Hacienda and Chapel (they're on the way to the theater). If you're in a hurry, it's even better to visit the picturesque tower.
19:00. The performance begins — the most striking and unforgettable show of the Shcaret park in the national style. Fire, music and dancing.
